It would be easy to wax nostalgic about my family's long dedication to Apple products. But the adoration of Apple fanboys is not the most significant legacy to honor. The iPhone and iPad changed the way we look at computers, communication, and the Internet. As we look back on the history of the 21st century, this decade and Steve's contributions will mark a major transition in society. Sci-Fi writers often ponder, what will the future hold? They invent technology and imagine its effect on people and culture. Steve Jobs brought the future to us and we will all be more efficient and more connected because of it. Best of all, Apple products just bring us happiness. And that is the greatest gift of all.
